Where may I use my "Meals"?

“Meals” can be used at Manzy Square (located in Manzanita Hall) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. “Meals can be used at Sahuaro (located in Sahuaro Hall) for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night*. Manzy Square and Sahuaro Café feature unlimited seconds.

*A meal can be used at Sahuaro Café for unlimited seconds. A meal can be used at Sahuaro Market for a combo for breakfast, lunch, and late night dining.

 


Where can I use my Maroon & Gold?

Maroon & Gold is accepted at all ASU Campus Dining locations. Please refer to the "Locations" link for a list of all locations on campus.

 


What is the advantage of Maroon & Gold?

When you use your Maroon & Gold you will save 8% when compared to cash purchases.* When you purchase the M&G 2100 plan you get a Bonus of 100 M&G which increases your savings to 13.7%. Also, you have no ATM visits, no need to carry cash on campus, and the safety of knowing if you loose your card we can deactivate it until you get a new one.

*Savings given at all locations with exception to the convenience stores on-campus and is based on M&G being tax-free.

 


May I use my Meal Plan to buy food for others?

Yes. You may either use a "meal" or you may use Maroon & Gold.

 

 


When can I start using my Meal Plan?

Meal plans for the 2004~2005 academic year will be available for use at the beginning of the fall 2004 semester.

 


How long do I have to use my meals?

"Meals per Semester" meals (Yuma and Sedona meal plans) expire on after lunch service on the last day of finals for each contracted semester. "Meals per Week" meals (Mesa and Tempe meal plans) are valid Friday (breakfast) through Thursday (late night). Each Friday a new set of meals will be posted to your account, unused meals will be forfeit after Thursday (late night).

 


How long do I have to use my Maroon & Gold?

Maroon & Gold is good for the entire academic year. M&G Dollars expire on the final day of summer session two for the contracted year. Unused M&G WILL carry over from the fall to the spring semester. Remember you may always add M&G if you are running low, minimum purchase of $25.

 


What happens if I run out of "Meals"?

On the "Meals per Week (Mesa and Tempe)" meal plans you can use your Maroon & Gold to eat until Friday (breakfast) when the new set of "Meals" is credited to your account.


Are dining halls open on the weekends and holidays?

Both Manzy Square (located in Manzanita Hall) and Sahuaro Café (located in Sahuaro Hall) are open 7 days a week. All locations will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Many locations will have limited hours or will be closed during spring break. In the event that our hours of operation change due to holidays or for any unforeseen reasons, signs will be posted to inform students, faculty and staff.

 


Can I take food out of the "All You Care to Eat" restaurants?

Food may not be taken out of our "All You Care to Eat" restaurants. However, you may use your Maroon & Gold for "To-Go" menu items at all of our other locations on campus.

 


What are the hours of service?

Please view our hours of operation on the locations page. In the event that our hours of operation change due to holidays or for any unforeseen reasons, signs will be posted to inform students, faculty and staff.

 


If I am Vegetarian where should I eat on-campus?

We offer a variety of vegetarian items at all locations. Please visit our locations to see specific menus.

 


When do I have to pay for my meal plan?

There are no deadlines on meal plan purchases. It is recommended that you purchase your plan prior to August 10, 2004 to avoid any delays.

 


May I purchase my plan on-line?

Yes. Purchases may be made on-line using your Visa or MasterCard credit card. You will be sent an e-mail confirmation and your account will be opened within 48 business hours of receipt of your order. For those wishing to sign up on-line please use the following link.

What types of payment do you accept?

You can pay for your meal plan at the ASU Campus Dining office (480.965.3464), located in the Memorial Union (MU), using all major credit cards, checks (made payable to "SODEXHO", money orders, travelers' checks, or cash.
Payment may also be faxed to 480.727.0008 using the form on our web site. Orders may also be mailed to: ASU Campus Dining, Arizona State University, Memorial Union Room 138, Tempe, AZ 85287-1101. For those wishing to sign up on-line please use the following link.

Where do I go to purchase my meal plan?

The ASU Campus Dining office is located in the Memorial Union Rm 138 next to the MU Market. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Purchases may also be made online, phoned in to 480.965.3464, or faxed in at 480.727.0008.

 

 


May I change my meal plan?

Meal plans may be changed up to the close of business on the second Friday of classes for each semester in which they are active. All changes will be assessed a $35 administrative fee.

If the amount of the new plan is of greater value: During the first contracted semester an additional payment will be required equal to the amount of the difference in plan pricing. During the second contracted semester the difference will be charged in the form of M&G being deducted from the student’s account.* (*Contact Campus Dining for complete details.)

If the amount of the new plan is of lesser value, the difference will be credited in the form of M&G added to the student’s account.

 


How do I access my meal plan?

Your meal plan will automatically be on your ASU Sun Card once purchased. When the cashier asks how you are paying (you will respond with either "Meals" or "M&G").

 


What do I do if I lose my ASU Sun Card?

Students are responsible for their ASU Sun Card, and all charges made to their accounts. If a card is lost or stolen, it must be immediately reported to the Sun Card office and to the Campus Dining office (480.965.3464). All transactions, including meal plan and M&G purchases, made on a missing ASU Sun Card not reported as lost or stolen are the responsibility of the student owning the card.

 


Do I have to buy a meal plan?

All plans are voluntary. If you are regularly eating on-campus a meal plan or Maroon & Gold will give you a significant savings over using cash. We have a variety of different Maroon & Gold plans available. Please check out the meal plan link.

 


May I use Distinctive Catering with my meal plan?

Distinctive Catering 480.757.7288 will gladly arrange a party for you using Maroon & Gold.

 


Can I get a refund for my meal plan?

A student that is excused from the contract, under the following conditions, is eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion of their Meal Plan.

A) The student withdraws from Arizona State University.
B) The Student is leaving ASU as required by an academic program.
C) The student has documented medical restrictions, certified doctor’s notification, that prohibits dining at Campus Dining restaurants.
